Laguna University’s Pride: Hiraya ng CALABARZON Honors Outstanding BSEd Mathematics Graduate

The College of Education of Laguna University (LU) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Ms. Jian Francia Bituin, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, who garnered the highest General Weighted Average (GWA) among the 695 graduating Class of 2025–2026 across LU’s 16 academic programs.

Ms. Bituin was recognized by CHEDRO IV and the UNIFAST Team as one of the distinguished student achievers featured in “Hiraya ng CALABARZON: Natatanging Iskolar ng UniFAST 2026” a regional recognition initiative that highlights exemplary graduates from 41 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the CALABARZON Region held on May 18, 2026 at De La Salle Lipa, Lipa City Batangas.

She is a recipient of Tulong-Dunong Program and has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, exemplary leadership, dedication, and ideals of a competent and socially responsive graduate who contibuted meaningfully to the institution and community. Her perseverance, discipline and passion for learning reflect the UniFAST’s vision in empowering deserving Filipino students.

Ms. Bituin’s academic distinction reflects not only her unwavering dedication to excellence but also the commitment of the College of Education in nurturing future educators equipped with competence, integrity, and passion for service. Her outstanding performance serves as an inspiration to aspiring teachers and students who continuously strive for academic and professional excellence. Her inspiring journey is a testament to perseverance, resilience, and unwavering dedication to education.

At the young age of nine, Jian experienced the heartbreaking loss of her mother. Despite life’s challenges, she was lovingly raised by her father, Mr. Zosimo Condino Bituin, together with the support and guidance of her aunt, Ms. Melecia Condino Bituin who both became pillars of strength in helping her pursue her dreams. Their sacrifices and encouragement became the foundation of her academic success and personal growth. Jian’s achievement stands not only as a personal triumph but also as a tribute to the love and determination of her family. She also serves as an inspiration to her younger brother, Jinard Francia Bituin, who likewise dreams of becoming a teacher someday—a reflection of the family’s deep regard for education and service.

This recognition underscores the University’s continuing pursuit of quality education and academic distinction, aligned with its mission of producing globally competitive and socially responsive graduates.
