NEWS | CCS Showcases Innovation at Annual Project Exhibition 2025

The College of Computing Studies (CCS) held its annual project exhibition with the theme “Data-Driven Discovery: Transforming Information into Insights” on February 12, 2025, at the RLH Building of Laguna University.

The event began with the preliminaries led by Ms. Patrecia Toledo, CCS faculty member, followed by an opening prayer by Mr. Janlaird San Jose, a fourth-year BSIT-BA student.

CCS Dean Dr. Marlon L. Atanacio opened the program by congratulating the fourth-year IT students and wishing luck to those preparing for data gathering. He also welcomed attendees, which included CCS students and guests from other departments of the university. He emphasized the importance of professionalism across all career paths, setting the tone for the day’s exhibit.

A ceremonial ribbon-cutting officially launched the exhibition, led by Dr. Atanacio, Ms. Chrisna L. Fucio (BSIT Program Chair), Ms. Joselle A. Banocnoc (BSCS Program Chair), and Mr. Kurt Robin A. San Jose (OJT Coordinator and fourth-year adviser).

A total of 36 student groups from the BS Information Technology and BS Computer Science programs presented their capstone projects. Attendees were invited to interact with the projects, give feedback, and vote for the top three innovations, which will be recognized during the upcoming CCS Research Colloquium.

In his closing remarks, Mr. San Jose thanked all the presenters for their hard work and contributions. The event concluded with a photo opportunity, marking the success of another year of innovation and collaboration within CCS.

The CCS Project Exhibition 2025 served not only as a platform for showcasing technical and creative skills but also as an inspiration for younger students and a celebration of the college’s commitment to excellence in the field of computing.
