LU Opens Student-Run Business Stalls for BS Entrepreneurship Program

Laguna University launched nine student-run business stalls on Monday, August 11, 2025, as part of the Business Implementation course for fourth-year BS Entrepreneurship students.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held beside the Oreta Building, marked the start of operations of the stalls as part of the CHED-mandated Business Implementation course aimed at providing hands-on entrepreneurial experience.

The program began with Opening Remarks from Mr. Jerwin Andres Anas, BS Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator, followed by a Special Message from Dr. Charlemagne G. Laviña, University President, who expressed his support for cultivating entrepreneurial skills among students. Also present during the event were, Dr. Marlon L. Atanacio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and faculty members from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) who showed their support for the studentpreneurs. Attendees were treated to free product samples and food tasting from the stalls.

The Laguna University Music and Band Society (LU-MABS) provided live entertainment during the event.

The program concluded with a Closing Message from Ms. Donna A. Esguerra, Business Implementation Adviser, who commended the students for their hard work and encouraged them to maximize the learning opportunities from their ventures.

The activity not only celebrated the students’ entrepreneurial journey but also Laguna University’s commitment to providing experiential learning opportunities that prepare graduates for the competitive business environment.
