Laguna University- NSTP Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) students led a month-long campus Zumba campaign from February 28 to April 30 to promote health, wellness, and community engagement.
Held in front of the New Building, the initiative brought together students, faculty, staff, and deans from various colleges for six fitness sessions, each involving a different academic cluster.
“The Zumba program is not just about fitness,” said NSTP Coordinator Ms. Rhodora A. Custodio. “It encourages holistic wellness, builds camaraderie, and shows that health initiatives can be fun, inclusive, and community-driven.”
Each one-hour session was facilitated by trained CWTS students and guest Zumba instructors, drawing participation from across the university. The final session on April 30 brought together students from the Psychology, Mechanical Engineering, and Communication programs and recorded the highest number of participants in the series.
The activity formed part of CWTS students’ community engagement efforts and highlighted the university’s commitment to promoting well-being through collective and joyful action.
