Laguna University Holds 13th  Entrepreneurial Summit to Inspire Future Business Leaders

The Laguna University – Young Entrepreneurs Society (LU-YES) successfully held its 13th Entrepreneurial Summit with the theme “Empowering Local Entrepreneurs for Global Success” on January 31 at the Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium.

The annual summit gathered Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) students and industry professionals to deepen knowledge in business practices, consumer trends, and entrepreneurial resilience. The event featured expert talks, motivational sharing, and networking sessions aimed at equipping students with practical insights for real-world business challenges.

The first speaker, Mr. Renel Batralo of Go Negosyo and CEO of Rolyolikha At Iba Pa Handicrafts, delivered a session on Market Research and Consumer Behavior, highlighting the importance of understanding market trends and customer preferences when entering competitive industries.

Ms. Yollie M. Perez, owner of Yollie’s Alamang, shared her entrepreneurial journey and stressed the importance of learning from failure. “Kapag nalugi ka [noong] una, balikan mo kung saan ka nagkamali,” she said, emphasizing the role of strategy and perseverance in sustaining a business.

LU alumnus and entrepreneur Mr. John Gebriel T. Ado-an encouraged students to take initiative and pursue business ideas they are passionate about. “Start your business with the thing you can do and make sure you’re happy doing it,” he advised, while also underscoring the importance of saving early and balancing risk-taking with wise decision-making.

The summit, attended by  BS Entrepreneurship students, forms part of LU-YES’ commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset and providing opportunities for students to engage with professionals in the business sector.
