CCS Breaks Two-Year Pause, Resumes Off-Campus Activities Post-Pandemic

The College of Computing Studies (CCS) recently conducted its much-anticipated CCS Off-Campus Activities 2023 on November 16 and 17. A total of 1137 participants from the CCS joined in for the immersive experiences.

Led by Ms. Meca Ibarrientos, Mr. Kurt San Jose, and CCS Officers, the event kicked off with a day exclusively dedicated to first-year students, followed by an engaging itinerary for the rest of the CCS students.

Starting the day with a breakfast pickup at SLEX, participants indulged in a Jollibee breakfast and captured moments before heading to the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA). At the LRTA, instructors shared insights into daily routines, showcasing various stations and offering a memorable ride on the LRT train.

The day continued with a feast at Vikings in SM Marikina, where camaraderie flourished over an unlimited buffet, punctuated by a memorable photo session. Educational insights unfolded at the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in Taguig City, shedding light on Salinlahi and scientists’ contributions, culminating in an engaging surprise raffle.

Following these educational experiences, buses transported participants to Star City in Pasay City. The amusement park offered thrilling rides, treats, and opportunities to collect souvenirs, creating an atmosphere of sheer joy and lasting memories.

As the clock struck 9 PM, signaling the end of the adventure, tired yet content faces boarded the buses for the homeward journey.

Reflecting on the day, participants unanimously agreed that it was an exceptionally memorable learning experience  coupled with camaraderie and joy.
