Laguna University (LU) and the Laguna University College Red Cross Youth Council (LU-CRCYC) were recognized by the Philippine Red Cross‑Laguna Chapter during the World Blood Donor Day celebration held on July 15, 2026, at the City of Santa Rosa Auditorium, Santa Rosa City, Laguna. The event carried the global theme: “One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Saves Lives.”
LU and LU-CRCYC were awarded a Certificate of Recognition for their valuable contributions to the National Blood Services Program. From January 1 to December 31, 2025, LU contributed 91 blood bags (equivalent to 40,950 cc), while LU-CRCYC contributed 101 blood bags (equivalent to 45,450 cc). Czarina M. Esmerna, the CESU Director, accepted the award on behalf of Laguna University, and LU-CRCYC Adviser Ms. Carolyn R. Yosolon-Matienzo received the honor.
These awards recognize the dedication of Laguna University, its students, faculty, and staff in championing voluntary blood donation and community service.
