LU Joins Laguna Delegation at FABEX Kansai 2025, Advances Global-Ready MSME Development

Laguna University (LU), represented by Dr. Alex Macario Cecilio (VP for Administration) and Dr. Monette O. Bato (VP for Planning and Finance), successfully participated in the FABEX Kansai 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The university joined the Provincial Government of Laguna’s delegation to showcase the province’s top products on the international stage.

Leveraging the insights gained from the expo, LU in partnership with the Laguna Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will directly assist local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) by improving their product packaging and labeling, guiding future product development efforts based on global market standards.

The Philippine and Laguna exhibits were officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key officials, including:

Hon. Voltaire Mauricio, Philippine Consul General
Mr. Michael Ignacio, Head of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center–Osaka
Dir. Marissa Argente, DTI 4A Regional Director
