The competition gathered some of the most promising accountancy students from different institutions in the province of Laguna, all eager to showcase their knowledge of Income Taxation and Business and Transfer Tax. For LU, the Baรฑagale Cup is no stranger. At last yearโs 9th Baรฑagale Cup, LU proudly clinched the title of Overall 1st Runner Up, marking its strong presence in this annual tradition. Though the University fell short of reclaiming the same standing this year, one name carried LUโs banner with pride: ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ต๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ฃ. ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ป, who emerged as ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป in the ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ผ๐ฟ๐.
This yearโs competition produced outstanding performances across all participating schools. Laguna State Polytechnic University โ San Pablo City Campus (LSPU-SPCC) emerged as Overall Champion, while Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo (PLSP) placed 1st Runner Up, and LSPU Sta. Cruz Campus (LSPU-SCC) secured 2nd Runner Up.
Before the program officially ended, Ms. Olivia A. Reyes, San Pablo Collegesโ Dean of CBAA, and Mr. Francis O. Mateos, PICPA-SPCCโs Sectoral Director for Education, extended their gratitude to the organizers, the coaches and students of the participating schools, and everyone present that day for making the event a success.
As the Baรฑagale Cup concluded, it became clear that academic competitions like these are not only about rankings, but about growth. Whether or not participants carried home a medal, the hope is that each of them took away the valuable lesson that every experience outside the classroom is an investment in their future as CPAs, one that hones them to face greater challenges in the years to come.
