LU-NSTP Students Spearhead Week-Long Clean-Up Drive in Brgy. Bubukal

Over 300 students from Laguna University’s National Service Training Program (NSTP) concluded a week-long Clean-Up Drive in Barangay Bubukal, held from May 5 to 10.

The initiative, led by NSTP Coordinator Ms. Rhodora A. Custodio and supported by instructors and barangay officials, aimed to promote environmental responsibility and community collaboration.

Students cleared streets, cleaned drainage canals, and collected waste from public spaces, resulting in a visibly cleaner and more sanitary environment. Barangay officials provided logistical support and safety assistance throughout the activity.

“This activity instills in our students a lasting sense of environmental stewardship and public service,” said Ms. Custodio. “It also strengthens our connection with the communities we aim to serve.”

Residents commended the students’ efforts, noting the importance of youth-led environmental action. The drive aligned with NSTP’s goal to foster active citizenship and environmental awareness through service-oriented activities.
