The Placement, Alumni, and Linkages Office (PALO), in cooperation with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) and Laguna University Alumni Association Inc. (LUAAI), recently conducted the Laguna University Labor Education for Graduating Students last May 14, 2025 at the Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium.
The Labor Education for Graduating Students became a well-organized and engaging event, packed with valuable insights for their future careers. The Guidance Office, represented by Ms. Ma. Princess Teresa B. Bituin (Guidance Counselor and LU alumna), delivered an inspiring session on job interview tips, sharing her own journey as a graduate to motivate the students.
Ms. Mary Jane T. Banasihan-Corcuerra from the Provincial Public Employment Services Office provided essential knowledge on labor market trends and workers’ rights, equipping attendees with practical information for their transition into the workforce. Other speakers, including Dr. Maria Theresita E. Sobremisana (private sector insights) and MAJ Mario Anton Tamayo (leadership), kept the energy high with their dynamic and interactive presentations.
The event concluded with an uplifting awarding of certificates and closing remarks, leaving students feeling prepared and inspired for their next steps. The combination of expert advice, personal stories, and lively discussions made the program both informative and memorable. All programs participated in the activity.
