The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) Department of Laguna University, through the Young Entrepreneurs Society (LU-YES), successfully conducted its Re-Orientation 2025 on August 29, 2025, at the Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium. The activity, themed “Igniting the Spark Within: The Entrepreneurial Path Ahead,” gathered more than 1,200 students, faculty members, and LU-YES officers.
The program opened with a warm welcome from LU-YES Adviser Ms. Donna A. Esguerra, followed by inspirational messages from CBAA Acting Dean Ms. Katrina Clare M. Labios and University President Dr. Charlmagne G. Laviña. Faculty members and newly elected LU-YES officers for AY 2025–2026 were also introduced and formally took their oath of office.
Guest speaker Monaliza Medina delivered a motivational talk titled “Kwentong Entrep” where she shared her entrepreneurial journey. Program Coordinator Jerwin Andres Anas also presented an overview of the BS Entrepreneurship program, while the Pinning Ceremony of LU-YES officials highlighted the organization’s renewed commitment to leadership and service.
LU-YES President Mr. Benedict C. Monsanto proudly shared the organization’s recent milestones, including national and university-level awards such as Gawad Laguna’s “Namumukod-tanging Organisasyon Pang-Kabataan”, recognition as Outstanding Student Organization at the Gawad LUnians, and official accreditation with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth Philippines.
The afternoon session was filled with competitions, including Entrep Next Top Model, which showcased students’ corporate attire, and Entrep Galing, where 18 performers demonstrated their singing, dancing, and acting skills. Winners were awarded in special ceremonies, including the titles of Mr. and Ms. Entrepreneurial Model and the Entrep Galing Champions.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Monsanto, who emphasized unity, collaboration, and a shared vision for greater success in the years ahead. Students and faculty ended the day with a cheer for Re-Orientation 2025 and group photo opportunities, marking the event as an inspiring start for the academic year.
