BS Entrepreneurship students of Laguna University completed the Young Entrepreneurship Program (YEP): You Can! Be Your Own Boss Capacity Building Workshop on March 25, 2025, at the Library Annex, Oreta Building.
The event was organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), aiming to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with vital knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in today’s business environment.
Participants engaged in comprehensive training sessions covering business planning, opportunity recognition, market analysis, and financial management. These sessions focused on real-world applications to help students develop and refine their business concepts.
A key feature of the program was the business pitching session, where students presented their innovative ideas before a panel of evaluators. The pitches highlighted creativity, market viability, and entrepreneurial potential, showcasing the students’ readiness to enter the business world.
The workshop concluded with a graduation ceremony where participants received certificates of completion, signifying their successful participation in the capacity-building program.
YEP 2025 is part of DTI and DOLE’s ongoing efforts to foster youth entrepreneurship and contribute to local and national economic development. Through this collaboration with Laguna University, students were empowered to turn their entrepreneurial visions into actionable ventures.
