Laguna University Conducts Virtual OJT Orientation for BSA and BSAIS Students

Laguna University, through its Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) and Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System (BSAIS) programs, in coordination with the Placement, Alumni, and Linkages Office (PALO), held a virtual  On-the-Job Training (OJT) Orientation via Google Meet on June 30 to prepare incoming fourth-year students for their internship deployment.

The orientation opened with an inspirational message from Ms. Judean Majella O. Monfero-Brosas, CPA, MBA, CTT, who encouraged students to embrace the learning opportunities that OJT provides. This was followed by a career talk from Mr. Vincent Andrei P. Biete, a BSA alumnus, who emphasized the value of developing a career-oriented mindset and using internship experiences as stepping stones toward employment.

Mr. Tony Angelo C. Alvaran, Director of PALO, presented an overview of the Internship Program, detailing the process, documentation, and requirements for the students’ upcoming deployment.

To ensure the safety of interns during their OJT period, Mr. Mark Apple Herradura of Palawan Pawnshop introduced an insurance policy offered by the company, stressing the importance of protection while in the field.

The program concluded with Ms. Katrina Clare M. Labios, Officer-in-Charge Dean of the College of Business, Administration, and Accountancy, who delivered the closing remarks and shared final reminders to the students as they prepare for their OJT assignments.
