Laguna University (LU) formally opened Academic Year 2025-2026 on August 11 during its weekly flag-raising ceremony held in front of the RLH Building. The event was attended by university officials, faculty members, staff, and students.
More than 3,000 first-year students and transferees, along with over 4,000 returning and continuing students, were welcomed by the LU Central Student Council and officers of the 21 Recognized Student Organizations.
In his welcome address, University President Dr. Charlemagne G. Laviña encouraged students to embrace integrity, patience, and determination as guiding values in their studies and personal growth.
The opening of classes marked the start of academic activities for the semester, with both new and returning students preparing to engage in various curricular and co-curricular programs. For many new enrollees, the day signified their first step into university life, while for returning students, it was an opportunity to renew friendships and continue their academic progress.
