TheLaguna University Community Extension Services Unit, in partnership with the Laguna Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Office, recently conducted a disaster preparedness training for 100 participants from various programs of Laguna University. The event was held in celebration of Climate Change Consciousness Week, with the theme “Kabataan Earth Warriors: Para sa Kinabukasan, Alagaan ang Kalikasan.” The training aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills to effectively respond to disasters and climate-related challenges. Resource persons Zaldy Ybardolaza and Carolyn Yosolon-Matienzo assisted by the Laguna University College Red Cross Youth Council shared their expertise in disaster preparedness and first aid, providing valuable insights and practical guidance to the participants, enhancing their ability to handle emergency situations and contribute to the community’s resilience in times of crisis. Our gratitude to all the volunteers whose hard work and dedication played a crucial role in making this event a success. Also to PDRRMO-Laguna for the first aid kits donation, your support helped ensure that the training ran smoothly and had a lasting impact on all involved.
