Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium, October 6, 2023 – On a lively Friday, 616 Information Technology (IT) students, gathered for the much-anticipated General Assembly 2023. The event aimed to warmly welcome new students and offer a day of relaxation and entertainment for IT students Mr. James Aaron Guevarra hosted the event.
The proceedings kicked off with Opening Remarks by Marlon L. Atanacio, the Dean of the College of Computing Studies (CCS), who set the day’s tone with his encouraging and inspirational words. Emelyn U. Napiza, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), delivered an inspirational message, urging students to excel academically and personally. Mr. Christian Jay B. Tantan, ITS LU Adviser, introduced the faculty and ITS_LU officers, emphasizing their dedication in supporting the IT student community.
One of the highlights of the event was the Mr. and Ms. IT Pageant and IT Got Talent. Mr. Mc Joshua De Lima, Program Chair for BSIT, introduced the panel of judges, namely, Ms. Rica Mae Escobel, Mr. Elson San Sebastian, and Ms. Madie Palero, who brought their expertise and enthusiasm to the competition. Ms. Chrisna L. Fucio, Prefect Dean of Discipline and faculty member of the IT Department, presented the criteria for judging, ensuring transparency and fairness in the competition. The competition featured rounds focused on sportswear, uniform, and casual wear, intermixed with LU talent/block presentations.
IT students engaged in a day of challenges and camaraderie, participating in five unique stations designed to test their skills and teamwork. These stations included “Spell It,” “Spin It to Drink It,” “Left and Right,” “Sing It to Win It,” and “Python.”
The day’s activities culminated in an awarding ceremony, where outstanding students were acknowledged for their remarkable achievements.

The General Assembly 2023 not only celebrated the talents and achievements of IT students but also fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among them, leaving a lasting and positive impression on all who attended.
