Operation Libreng Tuli 2023: Empowering Communities Through Partnership and Service

On July 8, 2023, an impactful event took place in Magdalena as the Magdalena (Pintong Pilak) Lion’s Club, led by its newly elected President, Hilda A. Tapongot, and in partnership with the Laguna University- Community Extension Services Unit led by the OIC-Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rosemarie D. Sabado and the Director of Community Extension Services Unit, Ms. Joselle Banocnoc, organized the highly anticipated “Operation Libreng Tuli 2023.” This initiative, driven by a shared commitment to community welfare, aimed to provide free circumcision services to boys in need. With the invaluable support of dedicated volunteers, including teaching and non-teaching personnel from Laguna University, medical professionals from the Laguna Medical Center under the guidance of Dr. Bonifacio Flores, ŔHU Magdalena, PNP Magdalena, the Tanod Bayan Kontra Krimen (TABAKK) Guardians Magdalena District led by Sir Ronald Sabado, and Ananias Laico Memorial Elementary School (ALMES) headed by the School Principal Ms. Maribeth M. Cabiscuelas, this successful project brought a positive transformation to the lives of 82 young individuals.
