Laguna University’s Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (LU-JPIA) cried out “No JPIANs left behind!” during its general assembly themed “Make Every Connection Matter” last September 08, 2022 at Laguna University’s New Building, Audiovisual Room.
The mantra served as a motivation for students as they embarked on their accounting journey, where they would face hurdles and experience a roller coaster of emotions.
LU-JPIA adviser, Mrs. Marilyn Asumbra, CPA, encouraged the students that “It is okay to cry, but never give up.”
Similarly, Mr. Arnel Villamin, CPA, MBA also the current program chair, reassured the students saying, “We (faculty members) are here to guide, advise, and shape you to the future you want.” while introducing the faculty members of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA).
Aside from the CBAA faculty members, the newly appointed LU-JPIA officials of A.Y. 2022 – 2023 (Kislap Federation) pledged that they will never abandon their fellow students.
“Gusto kong tulungan natin ang bawat isa sa atin. Gusto kong umangat tayong lahat,” Ms. Joy Ann Jalos, LU-JPIA President, affirmed.
During the general assembly, students from various year levels and sections pursuing Accountancy and Accounting Information System degrees were also given the opportunity to showcase their unique experiences, talents, and dreams.
