LU Faculty Presents Research at 3rd Nemesio Prudente International Conference

Mr. Raven C. Tagle, a faculty member of the College of Business, Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of Laguna University, participated in the 3rd Nemesio Prudente International Research Conference held on November 14–15, 2025 via Zoom. The conference carried the theme “Beyond 2030: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.” He presented his research titled “The Influence of Experiential Learning and the Accounting Skills Development of BSAIS Students at Laguna University.”

The event opened at 8:00 AM with registration, the Philippine National Anthem, and an invocation. Welcome remarks were delivered by Dr. Jackie D. Urrutia, Director of the Research Management and Intellectual Property Office of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. This was followed by a message from Sen. Pilar Julianna “Pia” S. Cayetano and a keynote address from Dr. Demelyn E. Monzon, Head of the Office of Academic Programs at PUP Quezon City.

Two plenary sessions were held before the breakout presentations. Dr. Jennie V. Jocson, Executive Director of the Teacher Education Council, discussed “TEC’s Milestones and Progress towards Quality Learning and Teaching for All.” Atty. Anurag Devkota, a human rights lawyer from Nepal, presented the second plenary session on “Ensuring Participatory Governance and Leaving No One Behind in SDG Implementation: From the Lens of Migration Governance.”

In the afternoon, participants proceeded to their designated breakout rooms. Mr. Tagle presented his research under the Education and Professional Development category, highlighting experiential learning as an approach that integrates theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. He discussed the study’s objectives, research questions, review of related literature, methodology, results, and recommendations. A question-and-answer session followed, where he addressed inquiries from evaluators Ms. Melanie F. Bacteria and Ms. Marjielou C. Abinsay.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Quezon City Branch concluded the two-day conference on November 15, 2025. Certificates of recognition were awarded to participants via Zoom on the same day.
