Via Zoom, May 28 — The Laguna University College of Education successfully conducted its Research Colloquium with the theme “Research EDnited: Beyond Four Walls Towards Achieving Sustainable Development Goals,” showcasing the research innovations and discoveries of fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) students.
The virtual event featured 12 research entries presented before a panel of evaluators. Of the total entries, four came from the Bachelor of Elementary Education program and four from the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, while two entries each represented the Mathematics and Science programs.
The presented studies focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of literacy, numeracy, values development, and scientific innovation.
Mr. James Christian Espayos served as the guest speaker of the event and emphasized the significance of research in creating positive change.
“Research is not only the discovery of knowledge; it is about transforming lives,” Espayos said during his message to participants.
At the end of the colloquium, one research entry from each program was recognized with the Best Paper and Best Presenter awards.
