Laguna University’s Future Educators Garner Awards at 2024 Research Conference and Multidisciplines

“Our group actually lost communication for nearly two days due to the power outage, so we couldn’t plan everything as thoroughly as we wanted. But thankfully, it all turned out well in the end,” said Christian Monteza, one of the winning participants.

The Asian Society of Researcher, Educators, and Inventors Inc., in partnership with the Social Science Students Society and the West Visayas State University College of Education Professional Education Department, hosted the 2024 Research Conference and Multidisciplines, themed “Enhancing Research Excellence Through Advanced Techniques and Practices: Insights on Writing Research.”

Laguna University College of Education secured multiple awards in the conference. Rouillyn G. Mesias, Raquel De La Cruz, Ma. Rowena Estiva, Rochelle Oliveros, and Madelyn Quiñones of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, achieved 3rd Best Research Presentation in the category of Output-Based Intervention and Creative Invention with their research titled “A Basis for Calculus Supplementary Workbook to Enhance the Problem-Solving Skill Using Study Buddy Method.”

From Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, the research team of Julie Ann M. Buenaseda, Philip Jefferson G. Capiral, Jhonnalee D. Desagon, Christian G. Paner, and Erinn Terexia Grace Sanjorjo won 2nd Best Research Abstract in the category of Teacher-Student Interaction, Instructional Strategies, and Classroom Management for their study entitled “Utilization of Videocast in Enhancing Audio-Visual Learning Skill of Grade 7 Students.”

Additionally, the team consisting of Lian Andrei Araza, Christian Jorge Monteza, Princess Joy Ofrecio, Aaron Philip Pingol, and Arius Jay Yuga of BSEd English also secured 2nd Best Research Presentation in the same category for their research, “Utilization of Pocket Guides on Enhancing Adjective Order Usage Skills of the First-Year College of Education Students.”

“To my fellow COED students, especially those who will compete in future research conferences, just do your best and stay true to your work. Trust that your dedication and effort will be enough to be called remarkable,” Mr. Monteza added.
