Laguna University to Celebrate 20th Founding Anniversary with Weeklong Activities

Laguna University (LU) will celebrate its 20th Founding Anniversary from February 9 to 13, 2026, with a series of academic, cultural, sports, and community-oriented activities highlighting two decades of service and institutional growth.

The weeklong celebration will open on February 9 (Monday) with a Motorcade from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., followed by a Thanksgiving Mass and the Opening Ceremony at the Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium. A Ribbon Cutting for the carnival game booths will take place in the afternoon at the LU Grounds.

Activities will continue on February 10 (Tuesday) with a Blood Letting activity at the LU Clinic, Carnival Games at the LU Grounds, a Stakeholders’ Conference, and Sayawit, all scheduled throughout the day at designated venues within the Laguna Sports Complex.

On February 11 (Wednesday), LU will recognize long-serving personnel during the 2026 Service Awards, followed by the Mr. and Ms. LU 2026 Coronation in the afternoon. Carnival games will remain open to the university community.

The celebration on February 12 (Thursday) will feature a Field Demonstration in the morning and culminate in a Concert for a Cause headlined by artist Maki in the evening at the Laguna Sports Complex Grandstand.

The anniversary celebration will conclude on February 13 (Friday) with the Palarong Pinoy/Friendship Games, continued carnival activities, and the Grand Alumni Homecoming, bringing together graduates, students, faculty, staff, and partners of the university.

The 20th Founding Anniversary carries the theme “LU’s Platinum Milestones: 20 Years of Steadfast Commitment to Building a Better Future,” emphasizing the university’s mission to provide quality education and service to the community.
