The Laguna University -Placement, Alumni, and Linkages Office (PALO), in its initial year of DOLE accreditation as the first local university in Laguna to become a Job Placement Office, recently conducted the LU Job Fair 2024 last June 20, 2024 (8:30AM to 5:00PM) at the Laguna Sports Complex Gymnasium.
In collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment- Provincial Office (DOLE-PO) and Provincial Public Employment Service Office (Provincial PESO), a total of fifteen (15) companies and four (4) government agencies participated and provided essential services for first-time job seekers.
With the assistance of the Community Extension Services Unit (CESU) and Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), three hundred ninety-seven (397) were served. A total of one hundred seventy-nine (179) graduating students registered for employment. Fifteen (15) were hired on the spot, thirty-three (33) were scheduled for final interview, and one hundred thirty-one (131) were set for further interview.
DOLE-PO and Provincial PESO sponsored lunch and the Provincial Nutrition Action Office provided NUTRINAPAY. The Laguna University Central Student Council took charge in the cleanliness and orderliness of the event.
