On December 16, 2025, during the 4th Quarter DILG Laguna Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee (MSAC) Meeting held at Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) Santa Cruz Campus, the Laguna University (LU) through its Research and Development Center (RDC) received a prestigious award presented by Provincial Director Jay Beltran and his team.
The recognition honors LU-RDC’s strong commitment and exemplary contributions to the successful implementation of the Barangay Readiness Enhancement and Development Interventions (B-READI) Academy. In collaboration with the University of the Philippines Los Baños, LU-RDC played a pivotal role in this disaster risk reduction research project by developing a comprehensive communication manual.
This achievement underscores LU-RDC’s active partnership, academic expertise, and dedication to capacity building, which have significantly strengthened barangay leadership and advanced responsive, sustainable local governance.
