Laguna University and NPRU Thailand Forge Stronger Academic Ties through Research Collaboration

Laguna University (LU) recently held a productive research collaboration meeting with representatives from Nakhon Phanom Rajabhat University (NPRU), Thailand, signaling a promising step toward strengthening international academic partnerships.

The session was hosted by Dr. Marie Joy Q. Elomina, Director of the Research and Development Center, alongside key university officials including Dr. Marlon L. Atanacio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alex Macario C. Cecilio, Vice President for Administration, Ms. Christine Mier C. Fermin-Raby, Program Chair, Ms. Donna Esguerra, and the Dean of the College of Business, Accountancy and Administration, Ms. Claire Labios, with documentation support from Mr. Marvin Francia, Research staff.

NPRU was represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Prapon Leksuma, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimchanok Mulmit, and Aj. Nilubon Kongprem, all from the Tourism and Hotel program.

The meeting commenced with a clear introduction and statement of the research problem, expertly delivered by Ms. Esguerra. This was followed by a presentation on the theoretical framework, conceptual framework, and methodology by Ms. Fermin-Raby. Dr. Elomina then explained the research questionnaire, setting the stage for a dynamic discussion.

During the dialogue, the NPRU team raised insightful questions regarding sample size and research methodology. These queries were met with confident and comprehensive responses from the LU team, who also welcomed NPRU’s valuable suggestions and ideas.

This collaborative meeting marks an important milestone in fostering Philippines-Thailand research cooperation. It not only advances the shared goal of academic innovation but also enhances bilateral partnerships for future joint research endeavors.
