The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) Department of Laguna University, through the Young Entrepreneurs Society (LU-YES), successfully held its first-ever Non-Academic Event 2025 titled “Innovators’ Festival: The Festival of Future Makers” on October 9–10, 2025, at the LU Covered Court. The two-day celebration gathered BSEntrep students, faculty members, LU-YES officers, and committees in a showcase of creativity, innovation, and camaraderie.
The festival opened with a vibrant Color Fun Run led by LU-YES Vice President for External Affairs Ms. Christine Mhae E. Valdez, which filled the university grounds with energy and excitement. Top runners from both male and female categories were recognized for their outstanding performance.
The program proper opened with a warm welcome from 𝗟𝗨-𝗬𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗔. 𝗘𝘀𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮, followed by an inspirational message from 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗲 𝗚. 𝗟𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻̃𝗮, in which he said that “Learning happens when you dare to create, when you collaborate, and when you bring your unique gifts into something that inspires others. The College of Business, Administration, and Accountancy has always been known not only by producing future entrepreneurs and business leaders but also for nurturing students putting differently, act boldy, and create opportunities out of challenges. This innovators festival reflects that spirit – a fusion of talent, creativity, and innovation”.
The ceremonial opening of the carnival-themed booths followed, led by Ms. Yra Mae Rubian, Head of the Non-Academic Committee for Booths. Nine interactive booths offered fun games and activities for all participants.
The highlight of the first day was the Entrep Sayawan 2025 competition, spearheaded by Ms. Maxian Claudine Flores, Head of the Non-Academic Committee for Entrep Sayawan. Four dance groups showcased their creativity and social awareness through their performances. Winners were recognized in several categories, including Champion, 1st to 3rd Runner-Up, Best in Choreography, and Best in Showdown.
Day 2 began with a message from Mr. Jerwin Andres Anas, Program Coordinator, BS Entrepreneurship followed by the Karaoke King and Queen competition headed by Ms. Rymie Palayar. Eleven performers impressed the audience with their vocal talent and heartfelt performances. Titles awarded included Karaoke King and Queen, Royal Prince and Princess, and Prince and Princess.
The two-day event concluded with a message from Hon. Dash S. Ramirez, SK Chairperson of Barangay Bubukal, and closing remarks from Ms. Christine Mhae E. Valdez, LU-YES VP for External Affairs, who emphasized the importance of unity, creativity, and innovation.
The Innovators’ Festival marked a milestone for LU-YES as its first non-academic event, leaving participants inspired to continue shaping a future driven by entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration.
