The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) Department of Laguna University, through the Young Entrepreneurs Society (LU-YES), earned the Gold Seal Award in the Sagisag ng Modelong Paggogobyerno ng Laguna 2025, one of the major categories under the Gawad Kampeon ng Kabataan ng Laguna 2025 program organized by the Youth Development Affairs Office of Laguna.

This year marked LU-YES’s first participation in the prestigious event, where they showcased their entry project titled “13th Entrepreneurial Summit: Empowering Local Entrepreneurs for Global Success,” along with the organization’s profile and certifications as part of their official documentation.

The competition began with the submission of entries on August 27, 2025, followed by multiple evaluation stages. LU-YES advanced to the finals after successfully passing the Documentation Review held on September 27, 2025, where they were named among the finalists for both Sagisag ng Modelong Paggogobyerno ng Laguna 2025 and Sagisag ng Modelong Programa ng Laguna 2025. This was followed by the Panel Interview on October 10, 2025, and the final round, Community Engagement, during which the organization presented its programs through a video presentation.

The Awarding of Kampeon took place on October 30, 2025, beginning with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by a welcome message from Ms. Fatima A. Representing Governor Marisol Aragones-Sampelo, a provincial representative commended the dedication of youth organizations and offices for their meaningful participation. Mr. Nestie Bryan Villaviray, Chairperson of Model SK, also presented the competition’s mechanics and evaluation process.

During the awarding ceremony, outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan Councils, Student Councils, School Organizations, and Local Youth Development Offices were recognized for their exemplary governance and community service.
