CESU Gathers Coordinators and Volunteers for Orientation on Community Engagement

The Community Extension Services Unit (CESU) of Laguna University organized an orientation session for its Community Extension Services (CES) coordinators and volunteers. The event took place on August 25, 2023, at the Audio Visual Room in the RLH Building. Attending the session were the newly appointed CES Coordinators, Presidents of Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), faculty members, administrative staff, and student volunteers representing various colleges and departments within the university.

 The CESU Director’s presentation explored the responsibilities and roles of CES coordinators and volunteers. The comprehensive discussion covered the process of selecting and recommending CES Coordinators, as well as the process to become   CES volunteers. Additionally, the gathering shed light on the integral policies and guidelines outlined in LU:AA-GU-01, the framework governing the management of Community Extension Service Programs, Projects, and Activities at Laguna University.

Part also of the agenda is the presentation of CESU Accomplishment Report, chronicling CESU’s achievements for academic year 2022-2023. This was followed by the presentation of the Plans and Programs slated for A.Y. 2023-2024. Everyone who joined the activity showed their excitement and affirmed their commitment in stewardship and nurturing sustainable projects that will support the community. -eun
