Four graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) at Laguna University successfully passed the May 2025 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (LECPA), according to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) this morning.
First-time takers Ms. Jimmailah G. Tolentino, CPA, and Ms. Laica A. Villaluz, CPA, from Batch 2024, were among the successful examinees. They were joined by Mr. Isaiah Ysrael T. Mariano, CPA (Batch 2022) and Ms. Rey M. Alticen, CPA (Batch 2023), who also earned their licenses in the recent board exam.
Laguna University posted a 19.05% passing rate, with 4 passers out of 21 examinees. In addition, two candidates earned Conditional Passer status and are expected to retake select exam subjects to complete their licensure.
Nationwide, 3,156 examinees passed out of 9,533 takers, translating to a national passing rate of 33.11%.
This latest achievement signifies Laguna University’s continued commitment to academic excellence and the development of future professionals, in line with its core values and institutional mantra, Integrity Towards Excellence.
