The UP Ugnayan ng Pahinungod, Laguna Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Office (LCCAMO) and Laguna University-Community Extension Services Unit (LU-CESU) facilitated the Ecological Youth Training 2022; Environmental Education and Stewardship last November 26, 2022 at UP Los Baños. The purpose of this activity is to educate young people on environment protection, resource conservation, and management.
Youth organizations from different municipalities in the Province of Laguna participated the said training. Mr. Henry B. Halawig, Head of Laguna Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Office welcomed the participants with an inspiring message and ensured that the youth training will be more interesting, he also stated that “OUR MICRO EFFORT WILL HAVE A MACRO EFFECT”. Climate Change is man-made, and humans are responsible for this.
The Ecological Youth Training was facilitated by Laguna University’s Community Extension coordinators Mr. Tony Angelo C. Alvaran and Ms. Leah E. Perez together with other coordinators of UP Ugnayang Pahinungod, LCCAMO and other volunteers. Various activities were conducted focusing on topics like Conservation and Resource Management. The participants made their commitment on how they will help save the environment. The organizers hoped that institutions and youth will work together in saving mother earth.
