Spearheaded by Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators- Calabarzon (PSITE-Calabarzon), the PSITE Digital Transformation Convention with the theme “Powering Inclusive Hyflex Education Through Digital Innovation and Transformation” was conducted on December 1-2, 2022 at St. Louis University (SLU), Baguio City.
With 13 faculty members from the College of Computing Studies (CCS) in attendance, the Laguna University delegation was commended by the PSITE officers for having the most number of participants for the said event.
The convention was in collaboration with PSITE Cordillera Administrative Region and PSITE Ilocos Region. Dr. Loriemel E. Fererra, PSITE-Calabarzon President, mentioned in her opening remarks that the collaborative effort of PSITE Chapter Regions is a great avenue for sharing the best practices of every region in achieving the vision of the official organization in the field of IT Education.
Different topics were discussed like: Impact of Digital Transformation Towards Effective Implementation of a Hybrid Learning Approach, Cybersecurity, SMART Campus Trend, Integration of Smart Network Solutions, Creating Strong and Efficient Digital Transformation Infrastructure of an Advanced Hyflex Organizations.
To spice up the convention, raffle draws were conducted, selected faculty from CCS bagged the raffle items. Ms. Joselle Banocnoc, Mr. Nylton Chan, Mr. Ronnie Edec and Ms. Chrisna Fucio won the special raffle items from the sponsors of the event.
The event was hosted by Dr. Neil P. Balba, Chief Digital Officer of Lyceum of the Philippines University, Laguna.
