The Guidance and Counseling Office of Laguna University with the assistance of the Special Livelihood Office of the Provincial Government of Laguna conducted the “Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Training Program for the officers of the different Recognized Student Organizations (RSO).
The activity aims to provide skills training to the officers of the RSO to empower student organizations in the conduct of their entrepreneurial program and activities.
The highlight of the event was the talk and skills training program from the Special Livelihood Office, headed by Mrs. Nieva B. Reodica, SLO Head Lecturer. According to her, the focus of effective entrepreneurship education is to create an entrepreneurial culture in society and encourage more people to start their own businesses, which, according to the SLO head is also applicable in their own groups. Their organizations will be financially healthy if they will be able to use the skills, they will learn to put up a business that will be managed by their organization.
Present during the event were 96 student leaders from different organizations: COEd Mentors, Elites, The Chroniclers, United Mathematical Majors of Laguna University (UMMALU), Likas Agham, Union of the Laguna University Tourism Associates (ULUTA), Junior Philippines Institute of Accountants (JPIA), Communication Circle, Young Entrepreneur Society (YES), Laguna University Mechanical Engineering Society (LUMES), and Computer Science Society (CSS), and the Central Student Council (CSC).
