Being a student carries a lot of responsibilities and expectations. When I entered the gate of Laguna University, I promise myself to give it my best. I always carry the thought that not everyone has the chance to go to college and pursue their dreams. I started to build my dreams and aspirations. I get the chance to meet and mingle with different types of people with varying behaviors.
From then, I have learned how to be socially aware. Day to day, I have realized how important education is. Realizing its importance has driven me to be more focused in reaching my goals. More determined to prove to myself that I am worthy of the chance I get. As time passes by, I have become the President of the Central Student Council. I know it entails a lot of duties to fulfill but that’s the way it is. That’s my choice. When I set up my goals, one of it is to be part of an organization who can voice out the opinions of the students. As I sit on the highest post of the student body, I see to it that every student get a fair share of what they deserve. I am not a perfect student leader. I have flaws, yes. I commit mistakes. But every time, I learn from every mistake and make sure that this will turn into something I can use to enrich myself and to broaden the horizon of my learnings. Years have passed and I can say that LU has helped me become more responsible, mature and professional in dealing with my endeavours. Up to this time, I am expressing how grateful I am to be given a chance to be not just a part of LU but a part with purpose. And this purpose is to equip myself with skills that I can use as I climb the next level of success. Thank you and May God bless us all.
