With a common vision and goal of improving the skills and training of young individuals to enhance their qualification for employment in the industry, Laguna University, represented by Prof. Monette O. Bato, Vice President for Planning Research and Extension and KGB Philippines represented by Ms. Rose Mallar Pis-an, Financial Controller, signed the Memorandum of Agreement on Academe Linkage Program of KGB Philippines, in a Reception/Launch Night on February 21, 2017 at Seda Hotel, Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Conduit Global Business Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Michelle Castillo, welcomed the participants. Speakers during the ceremony were Mr. JoeMar Tabarangao, Operations Director-Philippines, who talked on Global Conduit- Manila Operations. Conduit Global- Values and Culture was elucidated by Ms. Emma Clarke, Human Resources Vice President and Conduit Academe Linkage Program was presented by Ms. Recie Roxas, Human Resources Director-Philippines. Conduit Global is under the umbrella of KGB Philippines.
Laguna University, as an academe partner and KGB Philippines intend to utilize their complementary strengths in order to “promote technology in education, whenever applicable and justifiable.”
Aside from the different areas of cooperation as stipulated in the MOA, which includes among others, internship, job placement, employment, scholarship grants are also available to deserving students. KGB Philippines likewise, will provide academe partner faculty members and students both in the undergraduate and graduate levels, the support needed for the activities in relation to instruction.
LU looks forward to a better relationship with KGB Philippines. It also hopes to produce graduates who will be able to work in the industries in accordance with the industries technical qualification set and after the meaningful learning experience with KGB Philippines.
